Week 6 is here and the little man cave bedroom is all done!
A true labor of love all worth seeing my son smile from ear to ear.
Thank you Linda from Calling It Home for an awesome idea like the One Room Challenge. It pushed me to finally complete my son's bedroom from family storage space with baby furniture to a big boys room supportive of imaginative play.
The man cave idea just sprung into my head and I went straight to action. I had some design fails like a DYI antler light fixture gone wrong and a cow hide rug that just didn't make the cut.
All in all it was a hit. I love how it turned out. He loves it! It may just be one of the coolest bedrooms in the house.
I was able to get some really cool finds
All the purchases for the bedroom have been made except for the comforter/bedding.
I am soooo excited about this room especially because I know my son will absolutely love it!
Thus far, I purchased items to DIY an antler chandelier. I have an antler bowl from Kohls and a light fixture from Lowes clearance section. Oh, yeah and somewhere (I can't find it), I have epoxy/glue it's 2 ton glue and should hold anything. I purchased it at Ace Hardware.
This week, my goal is to complete the window treatment and light fixture. If I get these done, then I will be relieved. Those are my two major projects.
Once upon a time not too long ago, I had absolutely no furniture in my bedroom.
The thing is no one knew.
Not because I hid my room from them, but because I decorated it so well; that they could not tell.
I wish I had some pictures of what it looked like, but at that time I didn't know that I was going to change my career to follow my life’s passion.
The truth is all I had was a mattress set on a frame.
So with like barely no budget, not much money at all and lots of creativity; I created a sanctuary master bedroom.
Sugar and spice and everything nice...Not! This celebrity match up is straight from the garden state representing New Jersey and housewives across the nation. The Real Housewives of New Jersey 2016, Teresa, Jacqueline, Dolores, Melissa, and Siggy. These fashion forward busy women are nothing near housewives. They are business savvy women taking New Jersey by storm one township at a time.
This week's celebrity is Gabrielle Douglass. My kids will officially think I am cool for this one! Gabby made the US Olympic team for the second time and is making history while pursing her dreams. She inspire so many little girls including my own to follow their dreams and generate interest in gymnastics.
