One Room Challenge- Week One

I decided to just go for it and do two spaces for the One Room Challenge this Spring.

The One Room Challenge is held twice annually.  Twenty bloggers are chosen to transform a room in 6 weeks and share their progress each week.  There are dozens of guest participants like myself who get to join in and redecorate a room as well.  I am joining this spring as a guest participant, tackling two distinct spaces.

I am so excited to be part of the ORC this year as each fall/spring I watch along with enthusiasm and feel proud of everyone's final reveal at the end of the six weeks.

This year, I am up  and ready for the challenge and the kick in the butt given we moved into our home three years ago and haven't made much progress with completing my son's room.

I will convert his bedroom from nursery/toddler hodgepodge into a little man cave bedroom.

This will be a budget friendly project with the entire family helping out!

He wants to be like daddy and have his own space, so I figured why not transform his bedroom into a contemporary fun take on the age old man cave.

The Plan

-make the space something he can grow into

-have several areas encouraging play and exploration

-add some color and brightness to the space, but still remain sort of neutral

-need lighting, DIY antler chandelier project

-fun accessories

-something to spark imagination
