One Room Challenge: Boys Man Cave Bedroom Final Reveal Week 6

Week 6 is here and the little man cave bedroom is all done!

A true labor of love all worth seeing my son smile from ear to ear.

Thank you Linda from Calling It Home for an awesome idea like the One Room Challenge.  It pushed me to finally complete my son's bedroom from family storage space with baby furniture to a big boys room supportive of imaginative play.

The man cave idea just sprung into my head and I went straight to action.  I had some design fails like a DYI antler light fixture gone wrong and a cow hide rug that just didn't make the cut.

All in all it was a hit. I love how it turned out. He loves it! It may just be one of the coolest bedrooms in the house.

I was able to get some really cool finds

ORC Week 4: The Little Things Matter in the man cave

All the purchases for the bedroom have been made except for the comforter/bedding.

I am soooo excited about this room especially because I know my son will absolutely love it!

Thus far, I purchased items to DIY an antler chandelier.  I have an antler bowl from Kohls and a light fixture from Lowes clearance section.  Oh, yeah and somewhere (I can't find it), I have epoxy/glue it's 2 ton glue and should hold anything.  I purchased it at Ace Hardware.

This week, my goal is to complete the window treatment and light fixture.  If I get these done, then I will be relieved.  Those are my two major projects.

Copper Inspired Bathroom Makeover, ORC- Week One, The Before

One Room Challenge Week One

I'm super excited to be part of the one room challenge. Each year, I watched the designers as they transform spaces.

This year, I decided to take on the challenge and transform my guest bathroom.

I wanted to choose a space that was small enough to conquer in 6 weeks in case I have to roll solo.  I also wanted to do an affordable redesign that I could manage as my life is already full, so this won't be what will cause it to overflow. It will be well worth it.

Presently, my guest bathroom is all white. I like to call it builder grade flat paint standard white, just the way it was when we purchased our home 3 years ago. The only difference is the foot traffic of 3 children and numerous guests.

The entire first floor of my home is black and white ( my favorite color patter), so I figured it would only be appropriate to continue in the guest bathroom. I want to add a pop of color and I've been obsessed with penny floors so....  fun times ahead.

Here are some inspiration I found on Pinterest.

I love this color scheme especially how teal and copper can be so dreamy.

The Before

Below, are pictures of the guest bathroom. This bathroom is super small, which makes it an exciting challenge.
